What am I seeing Stars?

If you are at all familiar with osCommerce or any of its many offshoots like CRE Loaded or oscMax, you have probably heard of "Contributions." Contributions are code changes people in the oscommerce community have written to better improve the shopping cart. If you currently have an oscommerce shopping cart (no matter what form), then there is almost certainly at least one contribution installed.

But what does that have to do with stars?

We are proud to be the leading contributor/supporter of oscommerce contributions. Not only are our contributions plentiful, they are among the most popular in the oscommerce community and we wanted to make others aware of that fact since some people are taking our work and claiming it as their own. So the stars you see indicate our involvement in those contributions. Contributions marked with are ones we have written. And those marked with are ones we have contributed to in some way.

This is an important point to keep in mind when hiring someone to make some change to your shop since, odds are, they are just using our code and probably don't fully understand how it is meant to work.
